Plato (429 BC-347 BC) was a student of Socrates and writer of The Republic and other dialogues. Teacher of Aristotle. Also the maker of the platonic ideal. This is that every item has an ideal form (I.E. the computer you are using is a portion of the ideal computer that in turn has the attributes of all computers).
