http://sourceryforge.org/tarot/ Does a tarot reading and provides a URL you can bookmark so you can link it from your blog or whatever.
This is a PHP script running on the same server as the wiki, but not part of the wiki.
The bookmarkable-URL also stores your options such as reading title and the time the reading was done.
It allows you to create a one or three card spread and then get a permenent URL so you can link it from your website or blog. It also provides cut-and-paste HTML of a small version.
Supported Sets of Cards
Only Rider Waite Deck so far, I can add others if people have images. The Rider Waite pictures can't go on the wiki as they're copyright and the wiki must be done RIGHT, however the gizmos are less serious, and I don't mind them being slightly 'tainted'.
Currently the cards are hyperlinked to the appropriate SourceryForge.org Tarot card page. I am thinking of providing an option to link to http://learntarot.com/ instead, or other places... suggestions?
One of the ideas is that people can go in and leave notes on the wiki nodes as and when they feel like it. If they stored the reading in their blog, they can go back a month/year later and make comments on the cards they got. Hopefully this will get us closer to a Wiki of Shadows in addition to the useful reference we've already got. bbb
Reverse tarot cards are not currently supported. It's about 20-40 minutes work. I'll add it if people speak up.
Just picks a single card.
Picks three cards and labels them "decreasing influence", "static influence" and "increasing influence". This is my preference as I have some issues with Divination, but I'd be happy to add additional a traditional "past","present" and "future" if people want.
I'd like to do celtic cross, it's a classic. If I do I may get it to spot large numbers of a single suit, or pairs of numbers etc, and link to nodes about them, eg. Pair of Kings.
