Description
Rider Waite Deck
A rainbow in the sky, with ten cups in the rainbow. Beneath it is a man and a woman, and two children.
The man has short dark hair and is wearing an orange jacket. He faces away from us. He holds his left hand palm upwards. His right hand is around the waist of the woman. She wears a dress which trails on the ground slightly, she also has short black hair and is facing away. Her right palm is held upwards. Together the couple appear to be reveling in the sight of the rainbow. The angle of the mans arms is similar to that of The Magician.
The children are to the right and are holding hands and dancing.
In the distance is a river, on the horizon are trees and a house.
It's all very cheerful.

Software
Free Software; something which everybody can enjoy freely (like a rainbow) the benefit is to the world, not the individual (compare to Nine of Cups).
The rainbow represents gods convenent with noah never to flood the entire world again. It is visible to anybody who cares to look, you don't have to pay for a rainbow. It could be associated with free software being there in the net for anyone who wants it. The GPL is the creators covernent with the users that the software will always remain free. (Although it should be remembered that the copyright holder of GPL software may release it under non-free licenses but they may not revoke the GPL'd ness of something already realeased)
